Season 1 Episode 18 // Celebrating Hope

Welcome back to An Abiding Life Podcast with your hosts, Hunter + Kait Poppa! We hope everyone had a sweet Thanksgiving full of laughter and the joy that only Christ can bring. As we ~sadly~ wrap up Season 1 of our podcast, we want to express our gratitude for each of you who have taken the time to listen and learn with us how to better live a simple, quiet, abiding life with Jesus. Even if you just listened to one episode, we are humbled and so grateful. We hope you learned something and that this has been as much of a blessing to you as it has been to us. But so much more than that, we pray that our time together has brought you closer to Elohim Chaim—the Living God.

This episode is all about Advent—our favorite time of the year and a great topic to end on for Season 1! Advent, or “arrival,” is not only about Jesus being born as a baby to live out the rescue story that allows us to be called daughters and sons of God, but it’s also about the anticipation of His Second Coming! Tune in for some ideas on where to start with celebrating Advent (or some new ideas to incorporate if you do this already!) and for maybe our favorite new tradition—The Jesse Tree

Check out our FREE resource, The Jesse Tree Tradition: Tracing God’s Love from the Garden to the Manger available now under our Guided Prayers tab!

Also be on the lookout for content on our Instagram all about Advent and The Jesse Tree—lots of fun things to come in our IG Stories, so don’t miss it!

We pray that each of you have a wonderful Christmas season that is rooted in Christ Who is our Living Hope, and that 2025 would be a year marked by God’s hand moving and working mightily in your lives. Thank you so much for spending these last 18 weeks with us; we can’t wait to be back with you again in the new year! Talk soon, friends!
